Maximizing Productivity and Efficiency with Multi-Slide Machines
We can provide high-volume complex parts at a competitive cost to our customers. This is done through dedicated, custom tooling that is designed and built in-house to be used on our Refflinghaus multi-slide machines, or on one of our hydraulic multi-slide bending machines.
These machines allow us to form all bends in a particular part without repositioning or moving the part to another machine or operation. Fewer operations translate to efficiencies, less variation, and lower cost solutions.
We are also able to integrate secondary operations like coining, piercing, chamfering, etc. into these machines so that they can produce a finished part right out of the machine with little to no human interaction.
Multi-slide machines
Multi-slide machines, also known as multi-spindle machines, are a type of machine tool that can hold and operate multiple cutting tools simultaneously. These machines are used to perform multiple operations on a workpiece in a single setup, which can significantly increase productivity and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
They are commonly used in the production of small, complex parts such as screws, bolts, and gears.
The Benefits of Utilizing Multi-Slide Machines in Industrial Manufacturing
There are several benefits to using multi-slide machines in manufacturing, including:
Increased productivity
With multiple cutting tools in operation at the same time, multi-slide machines can perform multiple operations on a workpiece in a single setup, which can greatly increase production rates.
Reduced setup time
Because multiple operations can be performed on a single setup, the need for multiple setups and tool changes is reduced, which can save time and improve efficiency.
Improved precision
Multi-slide machines are capable of producing highly precise parts with tight tolerances.
Reduced labor costs
With the ability to perform multiple operations in a single setup, multi-slide machines can reduce the need for multiple operators, which can lower labor costs.
Reduced material waste
With the ability to perform multiple operations on a single setup, the need for multiple setups and tool changes is reduced, which can lead to less material waste.
Versatility
Multi-slide machines can be used to produce a wide range of small, complex parts and are suitable for a variety of materials.
Reduced floor space
Because multi-slide machines can perform multiple operations on a single setup, they often require less floor space than multiple single-operation machines.
